Testimonial- Jeannette De La Vega

Hey FuSion Family!
I wanted to do a testimonial and tell you of my journey at FuSion Fitness! It all started one summer day in June 2010 when my husband and I decided to go try out the new chinese restaurant that had opened near our home on 82nd. So on us arriving we see the Zumba sign hanging outside. We get off and we decided to take a peek inside since it was closed. Well as our heads were pressed against the glass scoping out the place and wondering what actually goes on in their. Out from behind us pops out this Happy Cheerful lady named Shelli (that by the way still has the Happiest smile to greet you everyday) asking us you wanna come in and give it a try! We quickly said no thank you were just looking. So while we were eating my husband talked me into giving it a try. He said it would be a great new thing to try and do for myself. Since I had been trying to lose weight on my own. Best thing It was close to our house. So I figured it couldn't hurt since I had seen commercials on people losing weight with Zumba! So on fathers day after eating all our yummy food. I decided to drag my daughter to go do the beginners class with me. I was so nervous knowing that I would actually have to dance at this thing. Which as soon as we walked in I made it a point to stay in the back of the class since I knew I wasn't  the most coordinated person. So in trying  to do all these new movements I felt like a fish straight out of water! Anyway after our 1st experience we liked that it was FuN! Plus Shelli made us feel like we knew exactly what we were doing!In which still till this day her first words to every class is Theirs No Wrong WAy! Just have FuN! So as we kept going and I got comfortable in going we came to find out that it would be moving. We were sad but we had decided that we were having so much fun that we decided to do the move to the new place. Well as we walked in to our first class at the new place the 1st thing I noticed were the MIRRORS! I said Oh My God Im not even confident enough to be dancing much less wanting to see myself. So I always made it a point again to be in the back  for sure where I couldn't see myself or couldn't be seen. Well as the months went by and my daughter stopped going with me. I got the courage to keep going alone. But I wasn't alone for long as I started making new friends along the way. So then I started taking all the new classes like Turbo Kick,Belly Dancing,Yoga, Kiss my Abs & PiYo which is my favorite. And in doing all that while having fun! I have my husband reminding me that he can't believe he had to convince me to go and now he can't get me out of their! Well with me never getting out of there I started to notice that I was losing weight and really starting noticing the changes my body was making. So with that I got much more confidence in myself  that I slowly started creeping my way up to the front and have been their ever since I started liking seeing the New Me!

You are such a joy to have at every class and are just as sweet as can be. You have come SOOOOO far in such a short period of time! Keep up all the amazing work and we are so blessed to have you in our lives. Thank you for being a part of our FuSIon family, and thank you sooo much for the testimonial! You are motivating others, "nobody says it's going to be easy, they just say it will be worth it" :) We appreciate you more than you will ever know and thank you so much for taking a chance and making the move. You look beautiful as always!:)
